Chiemeka Nicely is an African futuristic writer who meshes reality from African culture, astrology and spirituality with a desire to convey the human experience. Writing is a tool she uses to express herself, to observe and record reality in its many facets, crossing time and space re-envisioning the past and the present in the future.
With an active imagination she hopes to spark the minds of her readers, to turn ideas into reality as well as challenge them to identify parts of themselves within her characters. To rise and BE free in their expression; to BE represented much wider than mainstream society. To BE their most authentic selfs and BE the masters of their reality in which they are the creator and the student of life.

Princess Calista is a newly initiated Elite Supreme Warrior and bearer of the Blue Flame. She has always dreamt of seeing the devastation The Kutawala left in his wake where he destroyed every dynasty except her own.
When given the opportunity to venture beyond her kingdom walls, into the arms of uncertainty on an assignment to uncover her dynasty’s cryptic past, she thinks only of doing her father proud and accomplishing what no one else has up until now.
Moments after setting foot on Kimarr, she encounters a stranger who had been awaiting her arrival and a world far more horrifying than she thought possible. She must fight to survive amongst hungry murderers in the Savage Games and decide what’s worth living for and what’s worth giving to return home.
With her mind pressed into the unknown, her limits stretched, will the truth of this abhorrent reality push her to greater heights or encourage her fall to a place she’d never dare her father to see her be?
Either way she is right where she needs to be — in the face of change.
Meet the Characters
Dakarai
Prince Dakarai is a multi-faceted character with a rich history, marked by loss and transformation, in The Masterpiece. Originally from the now-destroyed Second Dynasty, he and his family were forced to flee into the welcoming arms of the First Dynasty, during a tumultuous civil war ignited by The Kutawala. This traumatic event serves as a significant turning point in Dakarai’s life, driving him to have high regard for duty, community and to have an unwavering determination to protect those he cares about and the world he holds dear.
Calista
Princess Calista is a remarkable character from The Masterpiece and is a member of the First Dynasty. As an Elite Supreme Warrior (ESW), she possesses the extraordinary and powerful Blue Flame, setting her apart from her peers and marking her as someone destined for greatness. However, despite her exceptional abilities, Calista grapples with a sense of alienation within her own community which has forced her upon a journey of self-discovery
Khari
Prince Khari is talented and charismatic, possessing a natural magnetism that draws people, especially women, to him effortlessly. He stands as a pillar of strength in the First Dynasty, both as the heir to the throne, an Elite Supreme Warrior and as a loving brother to Princess Calista. His motivation stems from a deep love for family and community, for Calista and a sense of duty to safeguard her well-being.
